Ho Chi Minh communist youth union congress College of Machinery and Irrigation (Tenure of 2020-2022)

In the atmosphere of the whole country enthusiastically emulating and making achievements to welcome the National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam at all levels, the youth of the College of Machinery and Irrigation have joined hands to contribute to building and developing the College into a high quality school and a Center of Excellence for Green TVET. On 30 July 2020, with the consent of the Party Committee of the College, the Board of Rectors of the College, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the South, the XX Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress of the College of Machinery and Irrigation, the tenure of 2020-2022 held successfully.

The congress was pleased to welcome Ms. Phan Thi Tuyet Chinh, Secretary and Mr. Nguyen Huu Tri, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the South.

The Congress was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the College and other comrades of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee and Trade Union of the College, and comrades as the Secretary of the Party Cell, heads and deputy heads of departments and 82 delegates.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress of the College of Machinery and Irrigation is an important political event of the Youth Union in particular and of the College in general. It is the forum of the youth, demonstrating the spirit of democracy, innovation, spirit of youthful pioneering, creativity and volunteering of the Youth Union and the youth of Vietnam; is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results of the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s policies and laws, and deeply grasp the guiding ideas of the Resolution of the 12^th Congress of the Party, Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels and the Resolution of the Party Committee of the tenure of 2020-2025 on the work of the youth. This is also an opportunity for the youth of the College of Machinery and Irrigation to re-evaluate the achievements of Youth Union’s work and the youth movement in the the tenure of 2017-2019; identify the goals, content and solutions for the Youth Union and youth movement in the tenure of 2020 – 2022.

The Draft Report of the tenure of 2017-2019, objectives, tasks, and the youth movements for the tenure of 2020-2022 were delivered at the Congress; Draft of the review report of the Executive Committee of the College’s Youth Union for the tenure of 2020-2022 was also presented. During the tenure of 2017-2019, the Youth Union of the College of Machinery and Irrigation has had many active and practical activities in the movements “Spirit of youthful pioneering in taking part in socio-economic development and defending the Fatherland“, “Youth volunteers” movement and so on…; Organizing  youth-accompanying programs such as “Accompanying with the youth in learning”; “Accompanying with the youth in career and business start-up”;  “Accompanying with the youth in training and developing skills in life and improving physical, cultural, and spiritual life”; the program “For beloved young generation” and so on. The education of youth union members is diverse in content, with innovating methods, suitable for young people, creating a strong change in the work of Youth Union. The movement of the Youth Union of the College is carried out synchronously and deeply, promoting the spirit of youthful pioneering, creativity of youth, creating a healthy and useful playground for Youth Union members, improving the training quality of the College, contributing to the overall development of the country; building an increasingly strong organization of Youth Union in politics and ideology.

The Youth Union of the College has also organized many meaningful activities on the occasion of important events and holidays of the country through many forms: arts, sports, activities to glorify the origin of the nation … and other activities held by the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the South such as: “Gratitude Activities”, organizing visits, giving gifts and taking care for 03 Vietnamese heroic mothers periodically in Cu Chi district; organizing visits and burning incense sticks to express gratitude to the martyrs at the War Zone D historical monument; taking care of 55 martyrs’ graves at the martyrs cemetery of Vinh Cuu district and so on.

With the slogan “the Youth of the College of Machinery and Irrigation pioneering in study, being creative at work, being master of science-technology and striving best to develop the College towards the high-quality College and the Centre of Excellence of Green TVET” for the tenure of 2020-2022, the Youth Union of the Collge will keep training and improving politically and ideologically consciousness of the members; organizing various of activities to attract and gather members for political tasks, boosting volunteer activities; training management staff and improving the quality of organizing the Youth Union branches in order to be deserved as an organization of gathering, education and training of students and the reliable reserves of the Party.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the College, Ms. Phan Thi Tuyet Chinh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the South praised and acknowledged the efforts that were contributed to the maintenance of movement’s activities and to the improvement of training quality of the Youth Union’s teacher members. In the next tenure, the Youth Union of the College should perform well their goals through actively training of political consciousness, morals, lifestyles, being a model of learning and science research, developing young power, confidence, activeness and creativeness, training skills needed for the participation of international cooperation events in the College, being steady during international integration, being confident in fulfilling yourself, pioneering in volunteer movements, living with ideals, being ambitious with steady political spirit to contribute to national construction and defense.

Nine comrades of the Executive Committee of the College’s Youth Union for the tenure of 2020-2022 was elected. In the first session of the Congress, the Executive Committee elected Mr Pham Ngoc Tuyen to be the Secretary of the College’s Youth Union, Mr. Le Duy Dong and Ms. Tran Thi Quynh to be the deputy Secretaries of the College’s Youth Union.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuyen, on behalf of the Committee for the tenure of 2020-2022, adopted the views of the delegates and gave deep thanks to the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the South; the Party Committee of the College, the Board of Rectors of the College, heads of departments for facilitating the Youth Union’s activities so far and give thanks to the comrades of the Executive Committee the College’s Youth Union for the tenure of 2017-2019 for their contribution to the Union’s activities during the last tenure.

The XX Ho Chi Minh communist youth union congress of the College of Machinery and Irrigation, the tenure of 2020-2022, was truly a democratic forum, made a contribution to the Youth movement to get more and more developed. The delegates, with a sense of solidarity and unity, adopted the resolution of the Congress and entrusted the new Executive Committee with researching and performing the activities and targeted goals for the tenure of 2020-2022.
