National vocational skills assessment contest at Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation – September 2020

The National vocational skills assessment contest took place from September 11th to September 14th, at the national vocational skills assessment Centre of Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation, with the participation of 124 contesters of vocational skill grade 2/5 and 3/5 of the occupations of Metal cutting on CNC machine, Industrial electrics and Automobile production engineering.

Attending the opening ceremony is Mr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Linh – Deputy Head of the Vocational Education Department, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Nai province, Mr. Tran Van Thang – Vice Rector of Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI); teachers as members of organization board, heads and deputy heads of VCMI’s departments; board of examiners, supervision group; technical assistance group and all contesters.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Thang- Vice Rector of VCMI said “vocational skills assessment is the important mission of VCMI to evaluate vocational skills, moving forward to the standardization of management staff, lecturers and teachers as well as to encourage management staff and teachers of other vocational institutes to improve professional capacity, vocational skills for satisfying training need, international and regional integration and assisting enterprises in employee qualification evaluation.

After the opening ceremony, 124 contesters step into the contest with 2 testing parts: acknowledge and practice test. The contest had taken place seriously and objectively and archived the following results:

28/35 contesters passed vocational skill grade 3/5 for the occupation of Metal Cutting on CNC machine

21/28 contesters passed vocational skill grade 2/5 for the occupation of Industrial electrics and Automobile production engineering.

21/28 contesters passed vocational grade 3/5 for the occupation of Industrial electrics and Automobile production engineering.

28/33 contesters passed vocational grade 3/5 for the occupation of Industrial electrics and Automobile production engineering.
