Expertise exchange visit by leaders of Ninh Thuan Vocational College, Long An Vocational College, An Giang Vocational College and Bac Ninh College of Industry at the College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI)

On Novemver 05, 2020, leaders of Ninh Thuan Vocational College, Long An Vocational College, An Giang Vocational College, Bac Ninh College of Industry and experts of the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam – GIZ vitsited the College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI) to exchange knowledge and expertise of the development and organisation of college-level pilot training programs based on cooperative training model oriented to German standards.

At the beginning of the visit, the delegation visited the facilities and training equipment in VCMI, especially the training workshops and E-Learning rooms supported by GIZ. Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Party Committee Secretary and Rector of VCMI welcomed the visit of the delegation with the speech introducing the developing history and achievements of VCMI during the process of becoming a high-quality training institution and implementation of the two new occupations supported by the Program Reform of TVET in Vietnam – GIZ “Electronics for Energy and Building Technology” and “Mechanics for Sanitary, Heating and Climate Technology” under cooperative training program oriented to German standards. Besides the successes, he also shared the advantages, difficulties as well as the challenges, solutions, and suggestions to the partner colleges to assist them in the approach of the high-quality training model in near future.

During the meeting, there were many questions from the leaders of the Colleges to VCMI to discuss and exchange information and experiences of workshop management methods, material management, teaching and E-learning experience, training at enterprises, methods for effective enrolment; roles of leadership in the support, facilitation, and training for teachers, especially the activities regarding the development and implementation of cooperative training programs oriented to German standards.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phan Anh Quoc, Rector of Ninh Thuan Vocational College, represented the delegation to give thanks to VCMI’s leaders for their warm welcome and sharing of knowledge and experience. The delegation also appreciated the efforts, creativeness, and cooperative spirit in work of management staff and teachers of VCMI and look forward to continued exchange and sharing of experience of the training activities in near future to progress together.
