VCMI will implement 2 new training programs based on German standards
In the afternoon of November 21, Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI) located in Trang Bom District held a consultation workshop on training programs for the 2 new occupations namely “Electronic for energy and building technology” and “Mechanic for sanitary, heating and climate technology”. This is an activity within the framework of “Supporting the Center of Excellence in TVET” under the “Programme Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Vietnam”.

At the workshop, Mr. Dennis Thoms, representative of HWK Aachen (Germany) has presented representatives of VCMI the “Confirmation Letter” for the German standard equivalence of the two vocational training programs “Electronic for energy and building technology” and “Mechanic for sanitary, heating and climate technology”.Attending the workshop were Mr. Vu Xuan Hung, Director of the Formal Training Department (Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) – Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs)); representatives of Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, German Development Cooperation (GIZ); Aachen Chamber of Crafts and Trades – HWK Aachen (Germany) …
These two training programs have been developed based on the needs of Vietnamese businesses; oriented on German standards. The training time for each program is 3 years. Students will learn basic theoretical knowledge at VCMI and practice skills in assembly shops, manufacturing departments or construction works of enterprises following training methods in workplace.
With the completion of this program framework,), VCMI will enroll and provide training for the two above-mentioned occupations oriented on German standards in the next school year (2020-2021)
