The visit of Aus4Skills’ expert group at the College of Machinery and Irrigation

On 11/5/2019, the group of experts of AUS4SKILLS programmes  including Ms. Lou De Castro Myles – Queensland University of Technology – Australia and representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Economic Colleges, Thu Duc Technology College visited, exchanged and learned experience about the process of implementing vocational training in operating forklifts at the College of Machinery and Irrigation.

The representatives of VCMI to welcome Aus4Skills’  experts included Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Rector, Mr. Tran Van Thang – Vice Rector, Mr. Pham Van Hoai – Vice Rector; Representatives of Science and International Cooperation Department, Training Department, Administration Department and Accreditation and Quality Management Department.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged and shared experiences about the vocational training process of operating forklifts particularly focusing on improving practical skills for students. Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Secretary of the Party Committee in VCMI, rector of VCMI said: “We are willing to share our training materials and experiences with the colleges for improvement of  training quality meeting the needs of labor in businesses ”.

Representative of Aus4Skills  group of experts,  Ms. Lou De Castro Myles – Queensland University of Technology – Australia also exchanged their training experience in Australia and thanked the School Board of Directors for exchanging training experience in forklift operation with Aus4Skills expert group and 02 Thu Duc Technology College, City Economic College.

Representative of Thu Duc Technology College, Mr. Duong Quoc Viet – TK Business Administration stated: “I really expect the College of Machinery and Irrigation would your teachers to support us in the training of pilot training course on forklift operation supported by Aus4Skills and Thu Duc Technology College will send our teachers to the College of Machinery and Irrigation to learn experience in training of forklifts operation ”.

Also during visit, the delegation went on a field visit to the College’s forklift operation class.
